He phalanxed the planet i was attacking, saw my ships then spied on me to get my techs so he could work out my speed. He attacked hit the same second my fleet returned from attack. He is very good. Apparently you can see fleets coming from or to a moon if you phalanx the planet where they are coming or going to. He did give me 1 piece of advice though. Never send your fleets out at 100% speed. If i had sent mine at 90% his timing would have been off and i would have not been hit.
There is a lesson in this for all of us.

I'm sorry you got hit Ellieann. May be its better to build Destroyers.. that way they wont attack with Battlecruisers again. Seems that's the most used unit, save for deathstars.. and the destroyer has a bonus vs battlecruisers.

well, that's some bad luck, but I was wondering,

some talk about building destroyer fleets for protection, maybe so but these attackers come with fleets of 1000 ships or more.

Are any of us even close to building such massive fleets?

The only thing I can do against such players is saving my fleets, it will be months before I can build hundreds of destroyers or more.

Good advice on never sending fleets out on 100% though. Didn't knw that
